I echo your sentiment on Key West. It’s on the top of my list of destinations. I hope you and Sam have a great cruise!

I can't wait for your review, Brian. I also have been told that Virgin will change my life, but I have the same anxiety you have! The red party sounds terrifying. The ship seems like an extroverts dream. And the people who say the ship will change my life ARE ALL EXTROVERTS! I have also heard that many of the Virgin crew are former DCL crew, so the service is excellent (but their pay is better).

I do hope it's life-changing, for the better! Very curious about those hammocks!

Brian, I too am a painfully shy introvert. I can usually fake it 'til I make it, but it is truly exhausting for me. Your post really resonated; I worried about literally every single aspect you list, especially the partying, the potential craziness, Scarlet Night. But I had a wonderful time on Virgin (on the same 4-night itinerary you two are about to experience). My advice is to seek out the quieter options onboard, too. They're not as glaringly apparent but they are there. We loved the sip & paint activity, the jigsaw puzzle competition, the "summer camp arts & crafts." We loved the live music out on The Dock (a favorite space onboard), or in the Roundabout. We loved playing a board game in the Social Club. And we also loved escaping to Richard's Rooftop, which I'm guessing you will find to be a surprisingly quiet oasis, well removed from any craziness. We peeked into some of the parties and shows in the Manor and the Red Room. (Dual Reality is mind-blowing.) We enjoyed watching the Scarlet Night pool party from the deck above (exactly where I love to watch the sail away party on DCL), and then retiring to our mega rock star suite to watch a movie. We treated Bimini with the same attitude... dipping to to see the party, but ultimately enjoying a more quiet spot - and we actually LOVED going back to the ship after lunch, while most people were still off enjoying the Beach Club. I hope you guys have a wonderful time, and I can't wait to hear all about it!

Harv is the extrovert, dance in the middle of the dance floor guy while I am the quieter spouse and we both really loved Virgin. I have sailed twice. The first time was without any status/ agent/ Rock Star and still really enjoyed the experience. We especially enjoyed listening to live music in the evening in the Roundabout area with great cocktails. We think it is the best mixology at sea. The Dock is also a great location and if they have any kind of bedtime story/ star gazing on the Dock one night try to do that! Even the secret party invites or surprise experiences can be intimate surprising opportunities. Bon Voyage!!

I am very interested in your thoughts. It would be out of our comfort zone as well. We really loved Key West, we spend a week there before our Disney Bermuda cruise.
